A long week-end working on my comic book (more like a graphic novel, now, I think). The story is progressing well, more pages done. Mainly in black and white. Color will have to wait for now. However, I’m worried about how to represent the darkness of a confessional while keeping the main character visible. So, here’s an experiment on one of the panels. I’ll come back to it later.
Doudou goes into a confessional for the first time in her life. In the late 1950’s, Doudou is six-years old. The confessional is a dark and impressive place; a place to reflect…Doudou would like to think about her confession and her sins but she cannot prevent other kinds of thoughts to pop into her head…
(I know, I still don’t have the translated panels…It will come soon. Here’s the translation:
“I wonder if they ever forgot somebody in a confessional?”
I wonder if they ever forgot somebody in a confessional?
